Studio Hire FAQs

Everything you need to know before your booking at House of Moon.

Is there parking?

Yes. You can pull into the venue for up to 10 minutes for loading and unloading, with easy access to the lift.
Please do not leave your vehicle there for longer than 10 minutes, as a £70 parking fine may apply.
Street parking nearby is free all weekend, and after 14:00 Monday–Friday.

Is there a lift?

Yes, there is a lift. As you enter the courtyard, walk straight towards the left, the lift is indie the “stairs” in the middle of the courtyard.

Can I use incense, sage or Palo Santo?

Incense is not permitted inside the studio
Sage and Palo Santo may be used in appropriate heatproof holders and must never be placed directly on the floor or furniture. Please take extra care with ash and embers, as any damage to the flooring, furniture or fabrics will be charged.

Can I bring and serve cacao?

Absolutely. You are welcome to use our cacao cups and serving pots during your event.
Please wash everything and return it neatly after use. Cups should not be washed in the bathrooms. Please use the provided tray to carry them to the kitchenette on the lower floor, where they can be washed.
Please take care when serving cacao, as cleaning or replacement costs may apply for stains or spillages on furniture, flooring or fabrics.

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome at House of Moon. Please ensure they are supervised throughout your booking.

Where are the bathrooms?

The bathrooms are located just next door to the studio.
Inside the studio, you’ll find a fob hanging by the door which can be used to open the bathroom door. Please return the fob to its place after use.

Is there a kitchen?

There is no full kitchen, but there is a small kitchenette on the lower floor which can be used for simple food preparation.
It has a kettle, microwave, fridge and sink. Please note that there are no cooking facilities.

Can I bring food?

Yes, you’re very welcome to bring food for your event.
Please ensure that everything is cleared away and disposed of at the end of your booking, and that any spills or stains are cleaned immediately. Additional cleaning or damage charges may apply where necessary.

Can we play music, sing, drum or hold ecstatic dance?

Yes! House of Moon welcomes music, singing, drumming, chanting, sound healing and ecstatic dance.
We simply ask that you keep the studio door closed during louder practices to minimise sound travelling into the rest of the building.

Is there a speaker?

Yes, there is a JBL Xtreme 4 Bluetooth speaker. We recommend leaving the speaker on the top shelf inside the storage, as the vaulted ceiling creates a nice surround sound.

Can I use the hammocks?

Yes, you are welcome to use the 5 hammocks at your responsibility. Please note sometimes they do slide. Please check before offering guests
